Earthquake in North Eastern Japan

A series of massive earthquakes and subsequent Tsunamis has hit Japan on 11 March.
It has caused tremendous damage to the Northeastern part of Japan.
MUJI would like to send our heartfelt regards to the affected regions and hope that they will recover from the damage soon.

Our Headquarter in Japan has regain normal operations, all our staff are safe.
However, there are still frequent aftershocks and the transportation and communication network in Japan have been slightly affected.

MUJI Japan Headquarter has reacted promptly to the earthquake on product supply and manufacture.
Several manufacturers located near the disaster area are temporarily closed, several MUJI stores that has recorded damages after the earthquakes have also temporarily suspended its operations.

Pertaining to products supply for overseas, MUJI has adopted global supply chain strategies for years, apart from Japan, therefore production from other countries globally still maintain.
Thus, we will be able to maintain stable supplies for most of our product in the near future.

Both MUJI Singapore and our Japan Headquarter will closely monitor the condition in Japan.
We would like to ensure that all our goods are produced under a clean and safe environment and we will continue to serve our customers with safe and quality products.

Our heartfelt support and empathy to those who has been affected by the catastrophe. The management is currently in talk with Singapore Red Cross Society to support Relief Effort for Earthquake victims.
